Blah Blah Blah

ok...so here goes my attempt at a blog...I'll start by saying I am who I am and I'm never gonna change.  I used to rush through life at a million miles an hour, everything stressed me out, but one day I realised that there was no point in rushing so I slowed down and guess what, life is a lot more enjoyable in the slow lane.

I have 4 boys, Jonathon is 7, Patrick is 4, David is 2 1/2 and Holden is 14 months.  My eldest 2 live with my ex husband (long story) and I see them for every holiday.  My youngest 2 live with me and their father, the man of my dreams, the love of my life Iain.  Iain has children of his own too, 4 to his ex wife and 2 to another (yes he is a baby making machine)...he often cops alot of crap for having so many kids but you know what, we don't care, he pays his child support and cares for his kids financially so really, its no bodies business...so between us we have 10 kids...his, mine and ours.  And call us crazy but we are trying for another...why you might ask...well I really really really want a girl, plus we love kids so I say why not.

Work wise, Iain is a truck driver and I'm a stay at home mum.  Financially we struggle sometimes but as long as we have each other we are fine (I know...such a cliche).  I love spending the days with my kids, although sometimes it is hard but they grow up so fast and I don't want to miss a thing.  Sure they "cramp" my style, stop me from doing the things I like but there is plenty of time for that later.  The cupboard of half finished craft projects isn't going to go anywhere and maybe one day they will get finished.

My house is organised chaos...lol...I am a clean freak who hates housework but while my house may be messy it is certainly not dirty, but you can tell just by looking in the front door that kids live here and that's the way I like it.

I can be very opinionated on subjects I feel strongly about, and while I may listen to someone else's opinion I,m not gonna change mine.  I am against abortion, circumcision (both male and female) believe that every woman should have the choice of birthing at home and that there is way too much medical intervention during pregnancy and infancy.  So most of the things I feel very strongly about concern women and children.  Guaranteed there will be quite a few posts by me "preaching" my beliefs but you know what, if you don't agree with me then just skip those posts.

I am not a religious person and if I had to pick one religion I would probably lean towards Buddhism.  I grew up in a christian home with christian parents but me and "God" had a falling out in 2007 when he took my mother away from me and I see no chance of reconciliation.

Well guess I've babbled enough for one session...and babble is what I do best...lol
